We are a Dixieland jazz band located in Morgantown, WV. We play to support the community and have fun. This band was started in 2010 by a group of West Virginia University students in Morgantown, WV. It was formed simply for the love of playing music, and it has continued to bring back the not-too-sophisticated joy in music that anyone can enjoy.

Spring Educational Tour

Since the spring of 2010, the High Street Jazz Band has gone on tour in the spring playing at locations around West Virginia and neighboring states. This has mainly centered around visiting and playing for elementary schools, but has occasionally included, other schools and venues. This is our chance at the end of the school year to give back to the community, and to pass on our passion for band to the next generation. In past tours, we have played for dozens of school assemblies, and led "instrument petting zoos" and other events for school students. Our goal is to provide our services for educational and charitable causes which we do free of charge.

You can find out more from our page dedicated to this tour.

The "March-Outs"

The High Street Jazz Band's oldest tradition has been marching out downtown in Morgantown, WV predominantly on High Street. This is, of course, where we got our name, and what we are usually known for.
